Introducing the Dirty Rhodes Band ...
We’re a band of highly experienced, professional musicians, getting together to celebrate our love of great music. For us, it’s all about the gritty sounds of 1970’s Jazz, Soul and Motown. Bringing it up to date with a touch of neo soul and jazz funk.

The electric Fender Rhodes piano is the signature sound from the Motown era, and that’s what we love. Add a bit of vintage snap, crackle and pop … and hey presto, you got the Dirty Rhodes Band.
Our repertoire includes classic Motown tracks from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye and Al Green. There’s also more modern influences from artists such as D’Angelo, Lenny Kravitz, Jamiroquai and Mamas Gun. It’s pretty varied.

Let’s be clear though, the Dirty Rhodes Band ain’t no bog standard ‘covers band’; we choose the tracks we think are great, then we like to bring our own particular vibe to them.
​
Based around Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Milton Keynes the band is available to perform anywhere in the South East.

MUSICIANS
The Dirty Rhodes Band boasts some seriously experienced musicians.

Neil Cook Vocals
Neil is an experienced singer, with a smooth and soulful voice. He loves the classics - Stevie Wonder and Steely Dan. As a seasoned performer, Neil brings real energy to the front of the band.

Chris Green Keyboards
First a guitarist, Chris took up the double bass before he was even big enough to carry it, and he’s been doing jazz gigs for over thirty years. Always a piano player behind the scenes, he now leads the band with his love of the Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzer sounds.

Stewart Sibley Guitar
A highly accomplished musician and guitarist, Stewart never fails to deliver some smooth tones, tasteful licks and lyrical solos. He certainly adds a touch of class.
Tony Morton Drums
Putting the groove into the Dirty Rhodes, is Tony. A stalwart of the local music scene with decades of experience, he’s equally as happy playing jazz, pop or soul.
Flo Flowers Double Bass
All about that bass ‘bout that bass … and that’s where our man Flo is, sorting out our low frequencies. Another multi-instrumentalist, Flo began as a drummer and percussionist, with a dash of guitar on the side. The man got rhythm.
